| | | An
easy and secure way to hair rig lumps of luncheon meat is to use a screw device
of some kind tied to the end of a hair rig.
|
| When
using paste there are a few ways of attaching a paste
coil. The usually recommended method is to attach it to a hair as you would
a boilie and hold it in place with a stop or split shot. This has always proved
both fiddly and unreliable to me. I prefer to tie it to the end of the hooklink
before forming the knotless knot - as by tying the hair to the coil you can stretch
it to any size you like. But this method limits you a bit and means you have to
carry more made up rigs. A quick way, but difficult to describe, of attaching
a paste coil to a standard hair is to thread the hair loop through the coil, and
then pass it over and between the coils themselves, or over the hook point. You
are restricted as to how large you can make the coil, but it is a quick change
method for switching from a hard bait to paste. |
